Three Generations of Hospitality
Dvůr Hoffmeister is a family estate shaped by remarkable people.
Adolf Hoffmeister — painter, caricaturist, and friend of Picasso, Dalí and Beckett — is the spiritual father of the artistic atmosphere that pervades the estate. His drawings of famous personalities adorn the restaurant and guest rooms.
His son Martin, a film director and Prague hotelier, transformed a crumbling farmstead into a place you never want to leave.
Today, the estate is run by his two granddaughters: Ada Hoffmeisterová, a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, who oversees the restaurant and hotel, and Ria Lacina Hoffmeisterová, the head trainer and director of the equestrian programme, who honed her skills during a year-long internship at the stables of two-time Olympic champion Franke Sloothaak.
The result is a place unlike any other near Prague: a lovingly restored First Republic country estate just 15 minutes from the city, where you sit down to an award-winning dinner — our restaurant is listed in the Gault&Millau guide and holds Two Golden Lions from the Czech Best Restaurants guide — surrounded by original drawings of the famous faces Adolf knew personally. You sleep in a room with the character of a country manor and wake up to horses trained under Ria’s expert eye grazing outside your window.
Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a family celebration, a corporate retreat or an outdoor wedding — at Dvůr Hoffmeister, we take care of you personally. Just as our family has done since the days of the First Republic.
